The outer chamber is inflated with gas cartridges and the inner chamber (of 174 liters!) fills with ambient air. The universal and ergonomic avalanche airbag system is in the compact vest where you have full freedom of movement. With the combination of a vest and backpack there is a better distribution of weight between the front and back. Also, you always keep the avalanche protection when you have to take off the backpack! From professional mountain rescue teams to avid freeriders, backcountry touring skiers and splitboarders. The new Aerosize Vest One is an avalanche airbag vest that fits everyone, as you can wear your favorite backpack under this vest allowing you to customize your trip to all possibilities. What is a hybrid airbag design? With argon, we inflate only the 30 litre spatial frame. During inflating of the airbag the device sucks in the remaining air until the total volume of the airbag reaches 174 litres. Thanks to this, we have developed the smallest and most simplistic avalanche airbag inflation system to date. AEROSIZE Vest One – The avalanche vest has been tested & certified by TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH in accordance with the guidelines of EN 16716: 2017 Mountaineering equipment – Avalanche Airbag systems – Safety requirements and test methods for avalanche airbag systems.

WHY DO WE USE TWO CARTRIDGES FOR ONLY ONE INFLATION?
A high pressure compressed gas cartridge requires the cylindrical shape. Then two shorter and thinner cartridges are combined instead of one larger, wider diameter allows the airbag to initiate the inflation system to be more flat and thinner- thus to fit ergonomically inside the AEROSIZE Avalanche Vest.
AEROSIZE Avalanche Airbag Vest has been tested and certified by TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH and fulfils the basic requrements with Annex V (Module B) of Regulation (EU) on personal protective equipment according to Article 19 (PPE of category II).

The Vest ONE is permitted to be carried both in hand luggage and checked baggage. Items are allowed for carry on hand luggage. These are also allowed as items are carried with you. When booking your flight, the passenger is obliged to inform the carrier that he/she plans to transport the Aerosize Vest One. Sometimes arrangements with the carrier cannot be made on the day of departure. Please check with the flight provider, as their decision is final. Download/print informations below and send it to Your Carrier.
In addition: You can fly with only the vest, without its cartridges. We can make arrangements to send you cartridges to you directly. For example, a hotel in your designated destination. Please contact us for further details.
